Hello!
I’m Megan, otherwise known as Pura in online circles, a queer, neurodivergent artist based in Nottingham, UK.Starting with a small Zine Fair all the way back in 2019, I have been exhibiting in artist alleys and markets all over the UK, with some of my latest conventions ranging from London and Birmingham MCM, all the way to The Supreme, the biggest Cat Show in the UK!

Illustration

My work heavily features riso printing, which is a cool eco friendly printing method that’s halfway between a photocopier and screen-printing from Japan, that gives prints a vibrant fluorescent pop and a grainy texture. Using this method I make illustrations and zines that contain queer narratives, body positivity and self love, botanicals and magical cats.
I love having a fully hands on approach to my artwork and I Riso print and screen print all my work by my own two hands.
When I’m not riso printing, I make other things such as washi tape and stationary, wooden jewellery, stickers and comics and zines.
